Russ Woodard started the company in 1967 and Mike Boase became a partner a couple of years later. A decision was made to compliment existing lines when warehousing their first line, Benmar Autopilot. This prompted a move to Bridgeland Ave. in Toronto in 1978.

The company experienced continued growth in the 1980’s necessitating another move to Wildcat Rd. in North York. Three lines from Holland were added to the warehouse (Stazo, Teak Ships Whells, Holland Yacht Stanchion and Zvaardvis Table and Chair pedestals)

As Woodard & Company warehoused more international lines they moved again in 1998 to Planchet Rd. in Vaughan. Just after this move, Russ and Mike sold the business to John Reid. John’s background is in the packaging business. John has led the business since 1998 and become well respected in the marine industry in Canada. John oversaw our latest move to Audia Court in 2009 and is constantly looking for new lines to augment the business.
